    The Bavarian mountain hound is descended from the original hunting dogs that were called bracken found in Germany. The Germany aristocracy were devoted in hunting and thus the breed was founded to improve hunting skills of their dogs.The Bavarian mountain hound was first bred by Baron Karg-Bebenburg, Reichenhall of Bavaria and was recognized by the united kennel club on January 1st 1996.
